I woke last night with picture in my head of the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen.

The image, a woman, pervaded my thoughts until wide awake I knew it was you.

I tossed and I turned trying in vain to force you from my thoughts.

No, I wanted to remember, I needed to remember,

Like a sculpture, you are a beautiful creature.

I woke this morning with a picture in my head of the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Images flashing like a strobe light in my head as I lived through the day.

It is impossible to focus my thoughts.

I must remember, I have to remember.

On a pedestal, you are my perfect creature.

I live each day with a picture in my head of the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

I smile when I see you; I get weak when you are near.

I will remember.

Like a sculpture on a pedestal, you are perfect in every way.

Quite a tribute

You've written here;

And a belated Welcome to Lit

The dangers of joining in during the holiday season

When partying prevails over poetry reading.
