The arrival of the morning

Blackness
Complete
Unending
Turning my head in every direction
I see
Darkness
Hanging
Heavily
Like a great ebony mantle
Flung purposefully
Covering everything
Nothing escapes its cover
Nothing
Black upon black
A lonelier sight you’ll never see
My eyes strain in the darkness
Looking for the first rays of sunlight
In the distance I see them
Liquid gold
A reward from Mother Nature
For the dark sentry who guards the night
His watch is over
He leaves
Disappearing into the golden hues of the morning light
A cascade of colors
Heralding his imminent departure
Morning has come

Clarification

There has been some kind of stuff up in sending my 2 poems. This one has nothing what so ever to do with rejecton as is patently obvious by the wording. It's about night turning to day.
