It’s so elusive
I had it once, for just a short time
I got but a taste, a whisper of ecstasy
Forever leaving me craving more
I feel empty now it’s gone
Incomplete and lost
Sometimes I get a glimpse of it
A fragment of hope
I want it so bad, I hallucinate
Imagining its real, right in front of me
Reaching out only to find I was fooled
My mind was playing tricks on me
Wishing it does not make it come true
So I wait and I yearn
Clinging to my bittersweet memories
Left wondering if there will ever be more

Anonymousabout 17 years agoIs it better to have loved and lost, or to never have loved at all. Sometimes the pain is such that you may miss it when love comes your way again. Let's hope that doesn't happen, for love is a wonderful thing and should be cherished at every opportunity.
