It was a dream.
A figment
Of what could have been.
A fantastic notion
That went up in smoke.
Never given a chance
To prove there is more.
I’m not in love
With her touch.
The way she does
Those little things she does.
The scent of her perfume
That lingers in the air.
The way she kisses
That leaves you wanting.
I’m not in love
The pure notion
Is sickening.
No longer do I care
The longing is gone.
She has no control
Over me.
I’m not in love.
