shoulder to shoulder
in bed
comforter pulled tight
hands casually
absentmindedly
exploring the other’s body
between the sheets
each with a hand
on the other’s thigh
hips pressed together
the other hand
exploring our own sex
while we read,
after some time
we finish chapters
simultaneously
place our books on the beside table,
our aroused fingers
eager to show us what they’ve been doing
while we’ve been reading our books
in bed
