My Valentine

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Let this be said,
“Glad I’m not married to you.”

You say you love me,
I know that isn’t true,
When you push and shove me,
To do things I don’t want to do.

I caught you looking
At that waitress in the bar.
Yes, she was good looking
But did you forget you are

Already in a relationship?
(Which doesn’t appear will last.)
You’ve made too many female friendships.
For me, your lifestyle is way too fast.

I really do love you,
But, to only one can I be true.
There’s nothing you can say or do
To make me stay and say, “I do.”

Hmmmm....

Just the bitters and none of the sweets and so very true it as it turned out!
