My head rests upon
the naked bosom of my friend
Listening
to the rhythm of her heart
     rapid with anticipation, with fear
     with a tingle of excitement

My arms embrace my friend
     for security and comfort
In calming
     my own fears and failures
     to love my friend
     as more

My hands caress her satin skin
     in awkward notion
Drinking in
     the scent of a field
     of wild flowers
     blowing in the wind

My lips kiss upon hers
     gingerly
Relaxing
     my heart overcomes
     my mind
     my friend, before my love

Her nakedness not perverse
     a beautiful form of art
     all its own
Flowing like
     the wind
     beneath an angel’s wings

My kisses search for nectar
     upon her bosom
Like a baby
     nurturing for food
     my lips
     circling her heart

Her voice is silent
     unable to break a whisper
Only the sound
     of air
     through an escaping sigh
     is heard

Her body begins to tremble
     with fear?  with excitement?
Rising
     the storm moves south
     to the plains
     between motherhood and woman hood

My lips kiss upon her
     with a warm glow
Caressing wherein
     will lie two pasts
     one present
     one future

Our lips meet
     for a taste
     richer than chocolate
The flower
     of her being
     drank by the bee

Her embrace tightens
as we join together in unison
Becoming one
     in heart and soul
     mind and body
passing the point of no return

Friends, before loves

Nicely descriptive of soft caresses, the words almost becoming caresses themselves.
