In my dreams
I’ve touched your skin a thousand times
kissed your lips a thousand more
held you tight
while you fought your demons
your smile has awoken a joy in my soul
that I thought I would never see again
if only I could
dream some more
to capture your heart
to keep with me
always inside me
keeping me sane
guiding me
showing me how to soar
again

champagne1982almost 17 years agoYou've got a very smooth and soothing mood in this poem, almost as if you're going to break free but are being coaxed to stay. Then you say that final: "again". It would be just as good, possibly better, if you dropped it.
