A few steps, and we stand
facing each other,
splitting the noisy flow
of the crowd I no longer hear.

He extends
his hand.

In the room he has readied for us,
The door closes, without a whisper.
He kisses me, crushes me.
The escutcheon's intricate engraving
will be etched in relief
in my back—
a souvenir on skin.

His eyes burn into mine,
and he flings me down,
fevered as I am,
onto the cold crisp sheets

Deft hands tear silky fabric,
exposing my skin
for his demanding bite
to adorn
my breasts with his brand.

Buttons slip out of slits.
At last,
he allows me to sit
for a taste of him.
Intoxicated by his musk,
I shed grateful tears,
as his fingers fist my hair.

Too soon he pulls away,
wordless.
He pushes
until I lie.
An imposing shadow,
he hovers
over my naked form,
my wrists
fettered by his hands.

His eyes are merciless,
penetrating,
as he penetrates me.

I scream
in pleasure, in pain,
in absolute surrender,
forgetting
there is no tomorrow.
