You
Have gone from me
Taken before your time
Those precious times
Used and wasted
Swallowed whole
No records kept
Except
These that crash around in my head
Shouting abuse to be set free onto
Pastures to graze and remember old times
Time
Was I loved you
Deeply, achingly
No time to eat or sleep,
Those thoughts crashing round my head
Wanting to be let free
To soar
And sing to the world
Of untold joy
You brought to my life
This simple life
Changed
Destroyed
By the swirling dervish
That span across my world
A laugh
A smile
Sent to send me to that shooting star,
Oh the joy untamed
Trembling hands
Broken voice
Trying to whisper your name
Then to shout, as you fell
Never to speak to me again

These blackened eyes
Stare into nothingness
At the edge of memory
To hazy to recollect

I’m losing them
I’m losing your face
I can’t let that happen
For there would be no point
To my time
Time
Is over now
Goodbye to whatever existed
Before you
And after
Without you
I am ready to follow your shooting star
To follow your voice as it laughs
Laughs at my efforts
Teasing
Playing with me

Me
Falling
Not long now
To meet your outstretched hand
As you pull me
Into your waiting open body

Oh the pain
Racks my body
Slowly replaced
By complete bliss
Eternity
To be held in your arms
