The trepidation of my heart

is not so based on concern

of where my love is

or what she has been,

but upon whether I will be the base

upon which her hopes and aspirations rest.

Do I deserve her, with what she does for me

And the love, caring and affection she bestows upon me.

In this, I will always tremble.

Not with fear, but with the joy of love.
