This is dedicated to my own shining star. I love you...

“A shining star you are,
Wishful thinking, I thought.”
But you know what?
I have found my brightest star.

He sleeps so gently in the night,
Like a moonlit waltz.
“Take me away” I call out.
Only to be stuck with that shining star.

Fate brings the strangest of outcomes.
“Why me?” I ask myself continuously.
Dancing tortoise shells.

Then I realized fate chose me.
To lead a battlefield of dancing dreams.
But you were never a dream, were you?

I grasp that shining star, I hold it dear.
Never have I let something so bright..
Consume my soul.

The blinding pain is melting.
Was it snow?
The brightness of a star can make you believe
                  Anything.

I love my shining star.
