You kneel before me
My trembling grateful hands
Caressing your warm and eager skin.
I smile at your laugh,
As our eyes meet
Silently sharing the quiet.
We come to the now,
Our tongues touching, duelling,
Delivering the music of our souls
To one another.
Eyes closed
Connecting by candlelight
Our passions melding slowly,
We walk on clouds
Sipping ambrosia,
Tasting the sweetness
That only lovers can know.

intimating what lovers know

Sweet without ever being gushy. Intimating only and thus totally consistent with the sentiments of the last line.
