I am not in your refrigerator when you open the door
Waiting to satisfy you with sustenance
I am not in the park with you while walking alone
Your sea of outward apathy is overwhelming
My relentless melancholy thoughts of you
Turning into emotional tar in the depths of my soul
Outside the horizon drops off into a black morning fog
A small space of a frosted world all my own is visible
As I incessantly regurgitate how you just won't do
Wishing every breath drawn was my last
While trying so hard not to give up on you
As I've tried everything for you ad nauseam
For as long as the eons have passed it seems
I worry that my efforts will be the death of me
Or that your attempts will completely destroy you
Resulting in a grand art disaster that is our lives in tandem
