Today, I dwelt on things of beauty.

Wildflowers
mountain laurel
dogwood in bloom
you

An oak tree draped with moss
fog on a river
snow capped mountains
you

Deer in the woods
hawk in the sky
a whippoorwill singing
you

A Shakespeare sonnet
the Song of Songs
Haiku
you

The smell of baking bread
freshly cut mint
honeysuckle in June
you

Summer rain
storm on the ocean
snow on Christmas
you

Leaves turning brown
leaves turning green
skies turning blue
you

Wheat in a field
sea oats
Marshes of Glynn
you

Breeze on a lake
cool mountain air
first frost
you

The feel of soapstone
sand under my feet
down filled pillow
you
