Silent
In the wake,
Waves cleansing the wounds
Footprints vanishing,
Untraceable,
Sand so changeable
So forgiving
Sins towed out to sea,
No judgement
Baptising me
Grace preserved
Dignity intact
Flesh cooled
Spirit silenced…
Stilled,
As the tame water.
I really liked this poem. The simplicity is beautiful and makes me wish my life were more like it.
this poem to really suck. In fact I kind of dreaded having to read it. But then I did and its actually quite good. I liked it. It is the best poem you have ever written (that I have read). It had great imagery and a slight ambiguity to it. Well done.
Well done. Wasn't sure whether to feel happy or sad at the end. You left it wide open to interpretation.
