If tomorrow was a day of wishes
I'd wish you here with me
Things would be so delicious
my heart would be finally set free

If today was a day I could hear you
I'd listen without a word
understanding your heart open and true
its craving, to be heard.

If yesterday were but a dream
that we had both been as one
then may I die in its gleam
so that it might not be undone.

Yesterday today and tomorrow
the future present and past
it is much been to my sorrow
that we as one could not last.

~~

Sentiments here are well expressed but seem a bit sterile.
