Snap, crackle, pop
sound of fat crisping
on a fire of glucose logs
made from our children

colored bowls of tasty toxins
fruity poison Pebble Puffs
served by harried moms to
future hyperglycemics

multi-colored rows of sugary greed
merrily perched at child eye level
Like smiling Captains and Toucans
patiently awaiting their prey

sweet death courtesy of
Kellogg’s of Battlecreek

ha ha :)

I went through sheer HELL with my girls about that sugary crap. Never, never would I buy Pebbles, and they would scream... okay, I loved your poem, it sent me back, ya know, my kids are grown. Keep up the good work :)

IN particular, since the first part was sorry as far as FB goes, your word choices are good, I loved the similar sounds, you did a good job, hell, a great job with your imagery.
