Prisms of light will catch you
If you let them
He said

I couldn't tell
I was already spiraling
Downward
On my quick journey
To hell

Positive thoughts
They kept telling me
Will keep away the dark

And yet each night
After the sun set
The dark thoughts grabbed me
And held on tight
Until morning light
Crushed the horizon

Apples and Oranges
Take a bite
I won't hurt you
Well I might
But not on purpose

The juice runs down my chin
The fruit is tasty and ripe
I take another bite
And forget my sins
Lost once more in memories
Of sweetness and light
