Vacant thoughts paying rent
Saccharine trifles on lips spent
Lying touch, greedy gaze.
Absent lover
count the ways.

Open heart beggars care
Yearning need
you stripped me bare
Never giving, one last look
Absent lover
I mistook

I loved this too!

The rhyme and the rhythm work well . The words so plaintive and passionate. Please keep writing. Such beauty in so few words. My admiration is complete.
