I sit and wonder, what is love, what is this force
Is it a feeling or just a thought
Is it the look in the eyes of adolescent lovers
Or is it the bondship shared between brothers
Could it be the sensation of first holding hands
Or a proud mother cheering in the stands
Is it the camaraderie of friendships we share
Or is it a longing or sense of despair
Is it a tingle up your spine and a nervous laugh
Or is it infatuation or when your adrenaline pumps fast
Is love when your heart beats through your chest
Or the effort a bird makes when building its nest
Is it the tears we shed when losing someone close
Or is it at a wedding when a father makes a toast
I think all these things are love, which we all desire
It makes our hairs stand up and our hearts burn like fire
For just one chance we will do whatever we can
We shut our eyes and let ourselves go, every move unplanned
