i dreamed i was fay wray,
you, of course, were Kong.
you sensed my boat near
     the island
and followed the
     beating drums.
smashing through the
     village gate,
you snatched me from
     the altar,
and took me deep into
     the eerie jungle.
you set me down on the
     rocky ledge
of an unknown mountain,
hoping that we’d soon
produce lots of little
     Kong-children.
i spoiled your dream –
sneaking into the forest
to fuck the saber cat and
     tyrannosaurus rex.
in a jealous rage
you hauled me up the
     empire state
but the airplanes of my
     faithlessness
shot you down again.

I laughed out loud. Airplanes of my faithlessness... Fantastic.
