What are you doing there?
Why are you in my heart?
I cannot answer either,
But it has felt right from the start

I tried to fight you off,
Ignore your posts
But I could not shake the feeling
That I wanted you the most

My head is full of confusion
My heart is beating wild
Your words I wait with baited breath
I feel so like a child

A child, a teen
Falling in love the first time
Heart expanding to burst my chest
A feeling rich and sublime

But, alas, I hide my feelings
For there is no one to share
The happiness rolling through me
Leading, at times, to despair

Confident though I am
You shake me to the core
When I cannot find you
I search you all the more

If anyone knew
They would think me crazy
But what’s running through my veins
Is anything but hazy

I feel the connection between our souls
As clear as the moonlit skies
Your words caress my mind and body
They bring pleasure to my eyes

So I ask again, what are you doing there?
Why are you in my heart?
I cannot answer either
But it has felt right from the start

Nicely stated...

What a nice way to put into words what has been so hard for me to verbalize... a relationship that is somewhat vaporous but oh, so real to the heart.
