You try to make me laugh;
But you can't feel my pain.
You try to make me smile,
All your work in vain.

When I laugh,
It isn't real.
It goes with the smile
I cannot feel.

One thing would make happy-
One thing will keep the peace:
With all the hurt that's kept inside,
I just need a release.

I need to know the truth again,
But truth is hard to find.
If I could be honest with myself
I could relax- I could unwind...

I'm sick of hiding,
Sick of lying.
Sick of hurting,
Sick of crying.

I need a release
From all this pain;
I don't want your hard work
To have been in vain.
