Words are coming at me,
Eyes looking past me,
Burying the truth inside.

Horrific and distasteful,
Effortless and graceful,
Right behind that gaze you hide.

No honesty can save us,
Further words will break us,
That beauty that I knew has died.

This moment I will see
Etched in memory,
So few, the times I have cried.

I love you and I hate you.
Of all the things you could do,
You looked me in the eye, and lied.
