He's a man: that's all.

His large, chiseled face
shows joy and sadness,
strength and doubt, determination,
occasionally even anger

At his art,
he was and is legendary:
very true

His tennis greatness lies
not in invincibility
but in studied mastery,
gazelle-like fitness,

and in zen devotion to the tennis ball,
which he'll sprint down
for any chance of a return
