No longer a disappointment
just calmly expected.

No plunge into
the precipice—

a walk on solid ground

Balmy breezes
cause no shivers

Gentle nudges
rarely lead to a fall.

Promises, whispered
Forgotten, unheeded

Moments unending
lapse into pieces
of a melting blue night

Yet unfulfilled

I welcome the dawn

I like this poem, but make these suggestions:

No plunge from

the precipice

(or)

No plunge into

the abyss

(plus)

Whispered promises

(and)

Endless moments
