When you and your mother arrived, you were hiding your gaze from mine

And when we took our time shopping for a wedding dress; you so were impatient

I wanted white but you insisted on that floral dress, fifties style, button-fronted

So you pitched a fit till you got your way; undoing those buttons later, we will kiss

But for now, you tremble inside at the sight of me and this reticence excites me

It's hard to fight my urge to crush you; resisting, I offer tea but you whine instead

Whilst your mother smiles and serves you up plain, as was always the plan.
