Among all my deeds, I am branded a sinner
In truth no one would deem call me a saint
Without excuse I alone bear my failings
In whom blood freely flows, will the same surely bleed
And in my own defence I offer nothing but silence
No one dare to speak thus upon my behalf
On the day of my death, I bid no one step forward
To suffer my faults as merely misgivings
To speak of my deeds with feigned solemn restraint
All I ask is for someone to usher my body
Into the depths of the firery flames
