Freedom lies before me
in the warmth of her smile,
the promise of her eyes,
and in the soft acceptance
of her voice.
So many years searching
alone in my own thoughts.
Grey contrast has given
way to coloured hues.
The gate swings
and the horizon stretches
into my future.
And she awaits beckoning,
the instrument of
My release.
