Well, Sweet Oblivion

Following the traditional verses of Haiku, the first two are related, and the last, not related to the first two. The old ways often spoke of something happening, and left hints of a changing season (IE the mention of either new cherry blossoms, or falling cherry blossoms, or barren trees), or vise versa, something of the season, and then something of a reflection.

One of my favorite books of all time is Japanese Death Poems, its a book of Haiku written in the last moments of Monks, and Samurai, some who had freshly fallen on their own sword, and took the moment to write their last observation of the world before meeting their second's katana.

The poems are raw, and beautiful. They reflect on vivid colors of life, which I hear they say those in a moment of death will see more clearly than anyone.

It's been years since I attempted poetry, so I'm trying to really get back into the swing of things, and I hope I'll get more daring as I write on.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I will do whatever I can NOT to disappoint.

Well formed verse

Fits the form perfectly - though could you say something more or different within the same constraints? S.O.
