I have always enjoyed the "exotic" paintings of the 1800's and the turn of the (last) century), Orientalism and the romanticism and sensuality of the European interpretation of Egypt and the idealized slave markets and harems (fantasies) as depicted by slave market Gérôme, for example. Someday, I may take the time to do some paintings with that sort of depth and detail, but in the mean time I enjoy a more spontaneous depiction just for giggles. For this one I did take some extra time to add some textures to give a nod to the old masters. This is not meant to be historically accurate nor is it meant to be disparaging, the image is only a lovely fantasy.

THROBBSover 5 years agoAuthorI'd love to see LIT employ thumbnails, either entire piece reduce, or vignette. The search function could be WAY better. (topics, technique, ranking).
It looks likes voting might be starting to work...? (I saw a few scores on a few posts)
Though not for older postings (those are simply x.xx), so unless previous scores are archived somewhere (and retroactively applied), they will never get proper public ranking.
