Thoughts...floating like winged seeds
through the drifting air of my mind.
Thoughts...of one late found, soon lost,
far from my soul's keening cries.
Thoughts...lifting and laving a spirit
gone gray with creeping dread and doubt.
Thoughts...of a time yet unknown, unseen,
but dreaming gives desire its longing glance.
Thoughts...silencing the bluest notes
of a song still awaiting its composer.
