Click hereMy love, why don’t we go into the night
And leave our vision blurred, the lighting low?
It only hurts the eyes when it’s too bright.
There’s other worlds than this you could explore
And just to do so will take two, you know –
It might well leave us happier than before
And glad we’ve gone, together. You and I
Have never done much walking, darling – oh,
Don’t you feel, too, it’s high time we should try?
There’s no real obstacles, the path is straight
And it is not too long a way to go
But soon it will be closed - so do not wait
But let’s start going. It’s not yet too late.
I like this, especially "There's no real obstacles, the path is straight" Well done yet again!
A loving entreaty, to walk the path with him! How sweet is that? Although there is no apparent intent to get into the loved one's knickers, this poem for some reason reminds me of Andrew Marvell's poem "to His Coy Mistress". Carpe diem, eh? I love this!
