If we find the truer state
Of what we are to be,
Perhaps we will become
Something more than Thee,
But God fears man,
And the tower falls,
A condemnation to us all

Estranged from love
For His own hate;
A lie on a death
At the cross, and the gate
Of hell flies open
To all who stand tall;
His love nonexistent,
He wants slave to fall
Upon their knees
That tremble and brake;
The others no hope
He gives to their fate.

So vomit false truth
Prophet of old
And fill the believers
With lies to behold
A wonder that's not
True and not real.
All that is left
Is for the strong to feel
Their undo punishment
For sins undefined.
I've learned from this life
That all have been blind.

In the end, the tower,
Our only hope,
Out of fear of destruction
We refused to rebuild;
So tremble, if you will,
But I still stand tall
Placing brick upon brick
Building its walls.
