the cool wind outside shattering leaves
winding its way around the dew on our skin
goosebumps rise
tongues press on harder tasting pleasing words
the cool moist skin melting into warm moist heat
slow motion fall colors blur
moans and smiles in reds, browns, yellows, and gold
when the winter snow comes
the heat will melt your sun
and my present will be your present
