Smouldering embers of our love, invisible heat,
Memories burn in the untouchable flames of lost love.

Its apparent, the jaunt is over.
Our jilted reflections
Side by side,
Concede all is spent,
As the overflow gently subsides.
Complimenting the moment, we embrace,
Breathing our bodies, feeling, tasting each breath,
Counting every blink,
Praising love with salty lips.

On the shores of Bora Bora,
Fugitives in paradise,
Succumbed to peace,
Incited by love, we are in love,
We are truly consumed.

So we lay, unwinding,
Unravelling in the lapping waves
Catching each other, slipping,
Falling into the depths
Of our surreal interlude.

My lover’s tongue delving deep; fluent French,
“Plus est plus, encore.”
More is more, it seems
As her summit is boundless.

Teased, her tide is becoming,
On the cusp of her delicate touch.
I watch, my love is trembling,
Giggling to herself
As I drift off to sleep.

These are the fires I miss.
Smouldering embers of our love, invisible lust,
Lust burns in the untouchable flames of love.
