"Vibrant Echoes at the Pier"

Echoes of a storm
A thousand miles away
Passed the jetty head high.

In the dark evening,
I watched their spray
leap towards the stars
At the top of a sea wall.

A pier, short and old
Stood nearby, feeling yet again
The pounding of his age old friend.

As the wind whipped my clothes,
I tempted fate, walking to the end.
A mighty set came and shook the timbers
Beneath my feet.

Time and again begging the old boy
To collapse and take me with him.

Vibrant ecstacy thrilled my skin,
Drumming the beach and heart within.
