I dream of the day
When the rain of blurry eyes
Won't turn me to rust.

I wait for the keys
To drape my heart in fire;
You are sinful lust.

Breaking past the night,
The dancing morning covers
Us, devoid of tense.

I feel daring warmth,
Imaginary whispers;
You are decadence.

I search as you search
Through the possibilities:
We are always late.

Outside man-made time,
We hold out for perfection;
You are fallen fate.

But I've not the heart
To sever these lesser ties,
And the joy he brings...

You are yearning hope.
You are the blood in my veins.
You are everything.

Haiku response...

I loved this beauty

The stanzas were all touching

Please keep on writing

and yes, I suck at this, but the sentiment is true.
