NIKOS' FATHER

That old man who was watching us that day in July,
Has died just two weeks ago. Why do they people dye?

After our swim we have some lunch, but just before they serve us,
We eat each other on the table and nothing could unnerve us.

The old man watched as Nikos brought white wine, greens, greek cheeses,
"How is your babe?" he smiled and asked, "You two, will give me sneezes!"

Still, that old man was looking glad, observing our love show,
I thought he knew about love, all that there is to know.

So now he's gone at ninety four, fast holding to love's meanings,
I wish we both have such good luck, in life and love good innings.
