I saw the pain
Projected by her face,
For she had been violated
By a man of disgrace.

He had brutally taken her
With animal force,
And in his eyes
She saw no remorse.

What had she done
To deserve this fate?
What had she done
To deserve his hate?

She wasn't a tease
Not even a flirt,
And it wasn't his manhood
That she had hurt.

For he was only an acquaintance
This excuse for a man,
Not even his friendship
Did she have time to plan.

But he lay in wait
That unforgettable night,
Like the rabid dog
Poised to bite.

He sprang upon her
Knocking her to the ground,
And tore at her dignity
Until there was none to be found.

And without a word he left
As quick as he came,
And never again
Would she be the same.

Yes she lost something
That she'd never regain,
I saw it in her eyes
I saw it in her pain…BWL
