Satiation.....what is that?
....the pig wallowing in a gutter filled with trash ......
The Bird pecking into a hill of earthworms
till its beak flows over?
.....the slave rising in tides of red as
The leather sings in the twilight?....
The raven cawing at morn as its warning
brays over the sleeping town....
or the Cardinals trilling in sweet surrender
as the male rides down to her....
Is it the sigh of the leaf
as it crumples against the forest undergrowth,
The crash of the breakers as the seas turn
turgid against the rocks.....
Or the yawning maw of blue Sperms as
They take in the krill on which they Feed.
Maybe I am never sated
....I gorge and then gorge again....
Entrails dripping from My bloodied mouth
....Do I care? Should I?
