Watches her from time to time
somehow wishing
He could see her ankles still
that sight to contemplate
as she watched the early morning
mists rise off
the glassy meadows
and stilled waters of the lakes

Eyes being half lidded as He looks
on her protruding bone
alabaster and spotted like
with a light dusting,
skin stretched taut hard
the curve of her foot
belying the softness of her skin

Those softed heels,
those petite peeking toes
Smiles Himself as what He sees ,
Views: devours hungrily
what He needed
