Standing outside, looking in
the Cheshire Cat replies with a grin.
"Somethings are not always what they seem,
while others are more than they ever appear."

And without warning he starts to vanish
until all that is left is the tip of one ear.
Yet I continue to stand there and stare
at the happy little scene that seems to be there.

They're laughing and smiling with no worries or cares
I'm standing here wishing I could be with them in there.
When instead I am out here standing alone
wishing I had somewhere to call my home.
