Why can't they be together? Why the hell does Fate always have to come and screw everything up? Ah, such are the ways of love and lust, I guess. Beautiful imagery, by the way. Seriously, though, he loves her, she loves him, but he knows that they aren't meant to be? How does he know that? These are all rhetorical, it just saddens me that after all that, after the love and passion and intensity, that they can't be together. You are a very talented writer; you know just how to make the story a must-read. If you have pursued your goal of author-dom, your books will certainly be a necessary component of any collection.
