It has been 4-1/2 years since you wrote this story, with no continuation. I will add to all the encouragement you have gotten from the other people commenting here. Let the story stand as it is and move from there. It is far from lame. I do say that the setup does stretch the imagination a bit, but this story line has a great deal of potential. Please do continue, and for heaven's sake please stop knocking yourself.
