I was beginning to think we'd never see the rest of this story. I loved it from the first; the romance and the passion. It reminded me of those historical romance bodice rippers.

I know that it says "The End", but please, can you do an additional chapter to their story? Like what happens when the baby comes? I don't want the story to end--I like the characters too much.

p.s. What about Luc and his runaway bride?

I so enjoyed this story and found it a refreshing erotic romance in the genre of the good old historical romances and so much better than what is usually in the category of nonconsent/reluctance. I think this was one of those stories that had true appeal to the female readers who want strong, heterosexual, old-fashioned erotic romance. I, too, would love to see more of this tale, or maybe just more from the author!

The only comment I would make is to watch your 'him/her'....when you edit, make sure you remember who is doing the talking or action...there were a few of those grammaric mistakes. Otherwise a really well-written and exciting tale!

Excellent! I've truly enjoyed this story above any others on this site. I love the intensity and unpredictability. Yours isn't a cookie-cutter story! James' character was particularly alluring, considering how he couldn't be vulnerable and how his emotions where so overwhelming that they came out in an inappropriate and aggressive way.

I love the dialogue when Emma's trying to dissuade James from marrying her/refusing his offer of marriage. I'm a sucker for really good dialogue, probably because I'm so talkative. Yours is really good, although Emma's denial of James' feelings seems a bit strange. It's just one of those 'well, duh!' things. I suppose the guy 'raped' her though. This is quite historical romance-ish (wish is VG since I have a weakness for historical romances) and heroines in them tend to not realise the feelings for the terrifically gorgeous and rich love interests who are also good in bed.

Your writing is excellent! James and Emma are wonderful characters. The intensity of James character makes him very hot and the dialogue between them is very sexy. Please continue to write more stories!

oh, it was the most romantic ending! i absolutely loved it and all of your writings. I started to read the regency one, but don't like the 18year old bride acting like they are 25. If you can, please make your next heroine older than the guy. I have been waiting and watching for you to write more. I am so sure that you do this professionally. Was worth the wait... for last month i was checking the page reularly for updates and was one of the first to read it.. LOVED IT.... but i dont want this to end so abruptly... i want to see how the families will react to their relationship... this issue needs to be resolved..and what happens when they get married and have a child... plz altleast one more continuation to the story.. i think most readers will agree with me..

This was the first I've read of your work, and I was so impressed that I felt compelled to let you know how much I enjoyed the story of James and his love. A story with characters so vivid and capable of worming their way into the reader's heart would be a great building block for a classic romance novel. I hope you continue writing, because I can't wait to see what else you put out there!

Loved all of the installments of "Love...and Love Intensely" One comment though: towards the end of the third installment, was Emma drunk? If so, why? She is pregnant and doesn't alcohol affect the fetus dangerously especially during the first trimester? If somebody could clarify this for me I would greatly appreciate it. Other than that, the story was fabulous.

Compelling and vivid is right. Particularly for James. Emma was well done as well. None of the characters were stock characters, I'd say. But DAMN... I truly dispised the characters! How CAN women fall for despicable rapists like James? And Emma grated at my nerves with her deceitful acts to everyone. And then there was her spineless brother and Luc. There is no hero or heroine in this story. James and Emma's is bound to end up with James abusing her and their son. Its quite clear that James quite capable of resorting to violence. He's fucked up, man, totally... but yet, I have to say that this is one of the best written stories I've read here... love and hate...now look what you've done, you've turned me into James!

This is the first story, (on the net,) that has held my attention. I was rivited from begining to end, and this isn't the type of story I would normally take an intrest in. Hell, what I'm trying to say is; "KEEP IT UP!"

There was such passion between James and Emma, so much sensuality, that it hardly seemed a non-consent story at all - but it was such a story, and I love how you captured Emma's thoughts. It took a while but when I read "bodice tearing", I realized the sexed up satire it was. What I thought was just poor writing turned out to be good satire.

Detracted 25 points for having your pregnant heroine go out and get stinking drunk. Not erotic, not sexy, and most definitely not smart.

Great story. The twin switcharoo aspect intrigued me. I was a bit put out by the drinking and pregnancy though. FAS is a VERY serious thing. Other than that, I really enjoyed the story.

I enjoyed the story and the elements of reluctance on Emma's part, but found James's attitude regarding her being his possession rather infuriating and I have to say that I was hoping for him to learn that lesson by the end. I loved the fact that throughout the story Emma refused to say that she was owned by him, because no person is an object to be owned, even if it my feel that way through love. In a loving relationship there has to be mutual respect and trust and I did not see James showing any genuine respect for Emma at any time during the story. So I found it frustrating that James did not learn by the end that in reality you can never own another human being, because you can control their body but in the end not their will and soul. Possessing someone through love is not really possession, even though we often equate the two. I'm sorry, I've gone on a bit more of a rant than I intended, but you left me really frustrated with James! lol Anyway, best of luck to you. With a little more refinement, you could be writing novels, methinks.

I loved the intensity and the Victorian style of your piece. Moreover, the characters were interesting and believable. I do, however, find it strange that you received so many comments about her getting drunk while pregnant, but very few about rape, sex without condoms, abortion, or any of the other difficulties that your characters deal with. You paint an excellent picture of flawed humans fumbling to find each other while battling their pride. Well done.

I loved every bit of it. Also, for those so upset about drinking while pregnant, the body's tolerance for alcohol lowers significantly so its possible to get wasted on one 8 oz glass of wine. Think of the time frame of the story, I doubt she got trashed on something like vodka or tequila. At least she wasn't on drugs. It's just fiction, enjoy it.

It's only recommended you not drink - not a rule. And it's not stated what she drank, but i doubt she downed a bottle of vodka. Also, consider her state of mind. She was stressed out facing a seemingly impossible situation. She needed it to help deal. Lastly, you can have a certain amount of alcohol up until the third trimester, preferably wine. As it was stated, she wasn't showing yet. It's fiction, remember that.

It is actually recommended that a pregnant woman have a glass of wine a night while pregnant. A glass. It helps keep them relaxed. FAS, or Fatal Alcohol Syndrome, is when the woman abuses alcohol, and gets stupid drunk. Every. Single. Night during pregnancy.

I didn't agree with the ending of the story, however like stated above, this is a work of fiction people. Meaning it is fake. You don't go and sleep with a wolf for "non-human/were wolf" stories. Do you?

So sit back, read the damn stories, rub a few off, and move on.

I absolutely loved this story, I found all three chapters to be brilliantly written, even if i did find Emma's weakness slightly annoying at times. But in respone to some of the comments written regarding Emma getting drunk while pregnant, I am going to come to the defence of the author. Although we all know now in 2014 that any alcohol can cause damage to the unborn foetus, this story was written back in 2004. 10 years ago. People's thoughts on alcohol consumption while pregnant were very different, especially in countries such as England where this story was held. So please don't get narcky at the author over this scene in the story. Just remember that times have changed since the story was written and if the story were to be written now this scene probably wouldn't have been put in.

But james is a rapist, deceiver and pushy, selfish ass.

That sort of behavior is inexcusable and she'd have been justified

Liked the build up and the twin brother aspect twist. All in all a good story.

Think a lot of previous commentators mis-interpreted James' character saying he was a rapist. I think MS-Girl was trying to show through words the fierce intensity of his love for Emma who drove him to distraction with her continued denial of her true feelings towards him. Both had pride and did not want to give in first to each other.

I mean why would a rapist want to marry the woman he is abusing? Doesn't make much sense.

Also there are many people who come on to Lit and click on stories which are clearly categorized and then once they have read them in full feel guilty because they have been turned on by what they have read. So to justify their guilt and forbidden feelings they leave nasty comments........just saying!

It is so simple stick to the categories that don't offend you.
