Keep writing and do not let what other peoples view and taste take their toll on you. I personally do not like westerns and there are ones that are great, but that is my taste.
My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. The setting and the suspense drew me in. Keep it coming! How about a follow-up description when he gets home similar to Anniversay Vacation by tonytony3. You could also move on to the next fantasy. Just follow it up.
