wow

lots of great stuff and that last verse is a killer.

Loved this part too

~Drink up your moccachinos.

Zip up your faux nihilist jackets,

and step out into this

crisp clear crystal shower.~

That some nice stuff

This piece lets me see two people

me when I was 14 in shades

and the me who watches them, as you do, now.

Thank you

Excellent

I loved how visual this work is. Tath is right it allows us to see the two people of who we are... children of the past and adults of the now. I loved the last stanza filled with hope

As the father of two teens

one of which is a sixteen, going on thirty, year old tragically hip sociocrat, this poem hit home. Your language powerfully supported your keen observation as you enticed me from my warm room into a cafe of the totally cool. Well done.

Rhetoric can wait

This one is worth pausing for; just to stand outdoors with my tongue extended. Wonderful poem, Liar.

A timeless observation of the forever individualistic

Teen social conformist;

Brave to sneer at the elders' values

But terrified of offending his peers

A Fine Poem

This poem really caught me off guard. I read it and then thought about it for a time and re-read it. Honestly, I have to say it is one of the best I've read in a long time. Your insights into youthful vanity are quite acute.
