Your writing gets better with each story. A little character changing there at the end but that was still easily picked up on and mind-changed. Other than that, pretty darned goo. She says she loves her husband but abuses him and shows him virtually no love. And his "best friend" shows him no respect. If you spent as much time showing Dan in a better light , this would be a better story.
